Former NFL punter and West Virginia kicking legend Antworten

Pat McAfee aimed for the bull’s-eye. He still hit the dart board. After pushing hard for a spot in ESPN’s booth https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Kemoko-Turay-Jersey , McAfee will be working Thursday night college football games on ESPN.Adam Schefter of ESPN (makes sense) broke the news on Twitter, adding that McAfee considered a return to the NFL. And that’s very intriguing, and entirely accurate.Multiple recent videos posted by McAfee on social media show that he still has a strong leg as a kicker — something he never did in the NFL but that he did very well at the college level. I’ve talked with Pat from time to time about the possibility of a return to football, and in the end he decided to move forward. He moves forward on a path that will give him the reps he needs to reach his ceiling as a broadcaster. And who knows? Maybe in a few years Pat will be wedged between Peyton Manning and whoever Peyton tells ESPN to hire as the play-by-play announcer on . It’s that time of year again. With the Colts gearing up to begin actual football activities in the form of training camp, they’ve begun making roster moves in preparation. Wide receiver Reece Fountain has been added to the Active/Non-Football Injury List and defensive end Carroll placed on the Active PUP list. Both players will count toward the 90-man roster at the beginning of training camp. This could be a really tough situation for both players Anthony Castonzo Jersey , who are bubble guys in tough competition for their roster spots. They’ll have to hope they can return to form quickly, or their chances of making the final cuts will be in jeopardy. For those who are curious, this time of year offers some confusing terms and it is helpful to remind you of what they all mean. Here’s the shortlist for terms you are likely to hear over the coming weeks.Active/PUP The Active/Physically Unable to Perform list is different than the Reserve/PUP, which is often just referred to as the PUP list. If a player enters training camp on the Active/PUP list, it simply means that they are unable to begin training camp activities. They can rejoin the team at any time after they are deemed medically approved. Reserve/PUPReserve/PUP is a different thing entirely. Sending a player to the Reserve/PUP list prior to the start of the regular season makes that player ineligible to practice during the first 6 weeks of the season. However, it also means that player doesn’t count against the 53-man roster. A player is only eligible to go to the Reserve/PUP List if they started out on the Active/PUP list. Once the player resumes practice, the team has 21 days to determine whether they will raise the player to the 53-man roster, release/waive the player, or leave them on the PUP list for the remainder of the season. Once the season begins Ryan Kelly Color Rush Jersey , the PUP designation cannot be used for new players. Non-Football Injury ListThe non-football injury list is for players who are injured outside of football. That could be an injury sustained from anything, including an automobile accident, cutting themselves while preparing food, or whatever it might be. The rules for the NFI list are the same as for the PUP list. Players cannot practice or play while on the list. Injured ReserveInjured Reserve, or IR, is the designation given to a player who is unable to continue their season due to injury. That player no longer counts against the 53-man roster and is automatically ineligible to return for a minimum of 8 weeks. There is not a limit to the number of players that a team can place on IR. Teams also have the ability to bring 2 players back from IR if they choose. They no longer need to designate a player they wish to bring back, but simply are able to elevate a player from IR to the active roster after they have been on IR for at least 8 weeks. It is important to note that a player must be on the final 53-man roster to start the season in order to be eligible to return from IR during the season. Reserve/SuspendedPlayers who are suspended by the NFL are ineligible for the PUP List but are placed on the Reserve/Suspended list means they don’t count against the 53-man roster. Players on the Reserve/Suspended list cannot practice with the team or even be at the team facilities.
