BOSTON -- The Houston Astros had no shortage of reasons to celebrate. Cheap Jordan Mailata Jersey . The Astros ended a franchise winless streak at Fenway Park with a pesky performance, rallying to tie Boston twice before finishing off the Red Sox in extra innings. Jake Marisnick hit a two-run double with two outs in the 10th on Friday night for a 5-3 victory, giving the Astros their first win in nine games at Fenway Park. With their 51st win of the season, the Astros matched last years total. "Its a huge credit to the players in that locker room and our staff," manager Bo Porter said. "They worked extremely hard and we still have six weeks left to go in the season." Gregorio Petit entered as a pinch runner in the eighth inning and scored twice, including the tying run in the eighth on a wild sequence that withstood two challenges by Boston. The Red Sox lost both -- and the game, ending their winning streak at four. The Astros tied it after falling behind 2-0, then 3-2 before taking their first lead in the 10th after loading the bases with none out against reliever Craig Breslow (2-4). Boston got two quick outs that kept Houston from scoring, but Marisnick delivered with a blooper that bounced just inside the right-field line and into the stands for a ground-rule double. "You cant defend a bloop double down the line," Boston manager John Farrell said. The ending was almost anticlimactic compared to the way Houston tied it in the eighth with hustle and a little bit of good fortune. Petit came all the way around from second base on a fielders choice after Dexter Fowler slid safely into second to beat shortstop Xander Bogaerts throw to Dustin Pedroia, who saw Petit had rounded third and fired a strike to Christian Vazquez at the plate. Petit sidestepped out of range for Vazquez to tag him and lunged toward home, getting a hand safely on the plate. "When I first looked I knew I was going to be out. The throw was there way before I was," Petit said. "Then at the end of the play, Im safe." Boston reliever Burke Badenhop dropped the short throw from Vazquez, so Petit was going to be safe regardless. Boston still challenged the call at home and the play at second to no avail. Both calls were upheld. The Astros tacked on two runs in the 10th, then Tony Sipp (3-2) shut down the Red Sox in order to end it. NO DECISION Houston starter Dallas Keuchels night was done long before the game was decided. He struck out eight while holding Boston to three runs on six hits and three walks over seven innings. Then he watched as his teammates completed the comeback. "Fifty-one wins right now and weve got six weeks left. I think were surprising a lot of people," Keuchel said. "Its a great win tonight. First win at Fenway, which is pretty cool." NO CYCLE Rob Grossmans solo homer in the seventh tied it 2-all. He drove the first pitch he saw from Clay Buchholz out to right and finished 3 for 5, just a triple shy of the cycle. CHANGE IS GOOD Marisnick went 2 for 5 and increased his batting average to .315 with the Astros since he was traded by Miami at the deadline. Marisnick, who was hitting .167 for the Marlins in 14 games, is 17 for 54 in 14 games with Houston. TRAINERS ROOM Astros: Porter said the Astros arent taking any chances with LHP Darin Downs, who is sitting out a little while because of discomfort in his right oblique. Although Porter described it as "minor," the Astros called up LHP Kevin Chapman from Triple-A as Downs rests. Red Sox: C David Ross (plantar tendon) took batting practice and is doing footwork with his shin guards on. He has been on the disabled list since Aug. 2. UP NEXT RHP Brad Peacock (3-8, 5.25 ERA) faces the Red Sox for the first time since a very short outing in Houston on July 13. Peacock was pulled with one out in the first after Brock Holt hit a leadoff homer, then Boston loaded the bases on a single, a walk and a hit batter. Boston RHP Rubby De La Rosa (4-4, 3.21) tries to win back-to-back starts for the second time this season. De La Rosa, who won consecutive starts in July but then lost his next two, held the Angels to one run on five hits and struck out eight over seven innings Sunday. Eagles Jerseys Store . JOHNS, N. Phoenix got injured centre Emeka Okafor and a top-12-protected first-round draft pick in 2014 -- giving the rebuilding Suns potentially four choices in the opening round. The Suns also sent guards Kendall Marshall, Shannon Brown and Malcolm Lee to Washington so the deal will work financially. http://www.cheapeaglesjerseyselite.com/?tag=cheap-josh-sweat-jersey . Strasburg (1-1) got 14 consecutive outs in one stretch and allowed only three hits, including Marcell Ozunas homer in the seventh. The right-handers lone walk was to the last batter he faced. Washingtons starter Wednesday, Jordan Zimmermann, left after a career-low 1 2-3 innings, leaving the bullpen "taxed," as manager Matt Williams put it.FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - Rex Ryan insists this will not be a lost season for Dee Milliner. No, not even after benching him twice already this season. The New York Jets coach still believes the first-round draft pick will end up rebounding in a major way. "Hes close to being that player that we want," Ryan said Wednesday. "I will say this: By the time the seasons over, I think he will be the best rookie corner and playing better than any rookie corner in this years draft. I dont think theres any doubt. We anticipate that. "He was the No. 1 cornerback selected, but thats how we feel about him. I think hes close. I really do." Milliner has started four games, but has also dealt with a hamstring injury that sidelined him three games. He was benched in the second half against New England in Week 2, and again in the second quarter last Sunday against Cincinnati. Ryan says Milliner will be back in the starting secondary against New Orleans on Sunday. "I think with Dee, when I went back and I watched that tape," Ryan said, "hes a lot closer than I think (hes) given credit for." The problem is, theres not a lot on film from games to sway people to agree with the coach. After all, Milliner was the first cornerback taken in the draft after a standout career during which he won two national championships at Alabama. Also at play is the fact that Milliner took Darrelle Revis spot in the secondary, starting opposite Antonio Cromartie. Revis was considered one of the premier players at his position, and Cromartie has assumed his role as the No. 1 cornerback. But Milliner was considered a starter from Day 1, despite the shoulder surgery that kept him out of the off-season training sessions and slowly getting up to speed during training camp. There were 28 players drafted as cornerbacks after him, including three in the first round: Oaklands D.J. Hayden, Atlantas Desmond Trufant and Minnesotas Xavier Rhodes. Trufant has started all seven of the Falcons games, while Hayden and Rhodes have started one each. "Oh, man, you feel bad," Milliner said of having to stand on the sideline and watch during games. "But, you know, its for the better. I was out there making physical mistakes and they put other people out there, they put (Darrin) Walls in and he did a good job of finishing the game." Against Cincinnati, Milliner gave up four reeceptions for 108 yards in just under a half. Cheap Eagles Jerseys Authentic. The previous week against the Patriots, he allowed six catches for 52 yards. "I just see him getting better, I do," Ryan said. "And I know how bad he wants it. All facets, schematically, hes not making the mental errors, so I think thats a big thing. And just his technique, I see his technique coming. Now he just needs to have some success tied along with it, and I think thats whats missing, get an interception or two and I think hes going to be good." Ryan also joked that this Sunday would be a good time for Milliner to have that kind of game. The Jets are taking on the high-powered Saints offence, with Drew Brees likely licking his chops at going after a rookie cornerback. In fact, Milliner says, he expects to get picked on. "Ive put on film that plays get over me here and there," he said. "He watches film. Hes one of the great quarterbacks in todays game. Hes going to be out there and, of course, Im the new kid out there. So, hes going to look to attack me on things." Ryan has been careful with weighing Milliners confidence, trying not to ruin it with poor performances. Thats why he has pulled him twice this season. "There are two positions I think that are critical with confidence — you want your guy confident (and) you dont want the confidence ever broken — I think thats cornerback and quarterback," Ryan said. "I think thats just one of those things where theres a couple of ways of looking at it, but my thing is I want him champing at the bit to get back out there and then you purposely keep him back there." Ryan said his father Buddy did that in Chicago with a young Mike Singletary, who overcame early struggles to become a Hall of Fame linebacker. "Im hoping it works out half as good as that one did," Ryan said, later adding, "Its just one of those things and eventually he gets the thing where you never worry about benching him ever again." NOTES: G Willie Colon (calf), TE Jeff Cumberland (concussion), WR Stephen Hill (foot), WR Santonio Holmes (hamstring) and WR Jeremy Kerley (illness) did not practice. Holmes, who has missed four straight games, said hes "making good progress," but isnt sure if hell play. ... C Nick Mangold (ribs) was limited in practice. ___ AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org Cheap Diamondbacks Jerseys Cheap Braves Jerseys Cheap Orioles Jerseys Cheap Red Sox Jerseys Cheap Cubs Jerseys Cheap White Sox Jerseys Cheap Reds Jerseys Cheap Indians Jerseys Cheap Rockies Jerseys Cheap Tigers Jerseys Cheap Astros Jerseys Cheap Royals Jerseys Cheap Angels Jerseys Cheap Dodgers Jerseys Cheap Marlins Jerseys ' ' '
